How We Work

Manufacturing with Kiwi Giyim is straightforward. Our Turkish knitwear production process moves your collection from inquiry to warehouse in six transparent steps — each with defined timelines, photo updates, and responsive communication. Most partners close their first order within 12 weeks of the first email.

Six Steps, One Clear Workflow

A well-run Turkish knitwear production process is less about paperwork and more about rhythm — knowing exactly what happens next and when. Here’s how we work with every brand, from first-time inquiry to repeat orders.

01

Inquiry

Send us your tech pack, sketches, or reference photos. Tell us target quantity, yarn or gauge preference, and delivery window. Don’t have a tech pack yet? Share what you have — our pattern team will guide you through the gaps and return a structured brief.

02

Costing & Yarn Sourcing

Within 3–5 business days we return a detailed quote: unit cost, yarn options, gauge recommendation, lead time, and technical notes. Yarn sourced from certified Gaziantep mills — see our yarn range. OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, GOTS, and BCI certificates available on request per order.

03

Sampling

Once pricing is agreed, we produce a proto sample in 10–14 days. The sample fee is paid upfront and redeemable against your first bulk order. You review fit, construction, color, gauge, and finishing. We iterate up to two sample rounds included in the base fee — rare for a flat-knit specialist at our scale.

04

Size Set & Approval

After proto sample approval, we produce a full size set across your grade. You sign off on sizing, tolerances, and any final adjustments. This signed size set becomes the reference standard for bulk production — every piece in the run is measured against it.

05

Bulk Production

45–60 days from size-set approval. Production runs on Shima Seiki and Stoll flat-knitting machines with in-house QC at four checkpoints: yarn intake, knit stage, linking stage, and final pack. You receive weekly updates with line photos.

06

Delivery

Final inspection, custom labeling, packing, and export shipment. Delivery terms flexible: FOB Istanbul, EXW Gaziantep, or DDP to your warehouse. Air, sea, or rail — we have freight partners for each. Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and any requested compliance documents included.

OEM, Private Label, and ODM Programs

Our Turkish knitwear production process supports three engagement models:

  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) — You bring the tech pack, we manufacture to your exact specifications. Your labels, your trims, your packaging. We are invisible in the final product.
  • Private Label — You select from our in-development styles, we finalize details with your brand labels and packaging. Faster than full OEM, lower tooling investment.
  • ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) — You share an idea or mood, our pattern team designs with you. Good for emerging brands without a full design function.

Most brands start with OEM for a debut collection, then expand into private label as the relationship matures.

Process FAQ

How do I start a project with you?
Email or WhatsApp us with your brief — tech pack, sketches, or a reference photo. We reply within a few hours with follow-up questions and a quote timeline.

Do I need a complete tech pack?
No. We work with whatever you have — from a finished tech pack to a single reference photo. Our pattern team builds out what’s missing and returns a production-ready spec for your approval.

What if the sample needs revisions?
The base sample fee covers up to two revision rounds. Further rounds are quoted separately. In practice, most brands approve by round two.

Can I visit your factory?
Yes, and we encourage it for mid-to-large orders. Gaziantep has a direct international airport (GZT) with daily connections from Istanbul. Send us your dates and we’ll arrange a factory tour.

How do you handle defects in bulk production?
Every bulk order is QC’d at four stages. If any unit fails final inspection, we replace it — no charge. For audit-critical partners, we also welcome third-party pre-shipment inspections (SGS, Bureau Veritas).

Ready to Start Your First Production Run?

Most partners close their first sample within two weeks of the first email. Send us what you have — a tech pack, a sketch, or just a reference photo.
