Our MOQ is 250 pieces per colour per style. This applies across all flat-knit categories — pullovers, cardigans, knitwear dresses, WHOLEGARMENT items and accessories. You can combine multiple styles in a single order, but each individual colour/style combination requires a minimum of 250 units.
For very large first orders (5,000+ pcs), we can sometimes accommodate lower per-style quantities within a larger programme. Contact us to discuss.
We do not have a formal minimum order value — the 250-piece per style/colour rule governs entry. That said, very small-value orders may not be commercially viable for either party given the development and logistics overhead. Orders in the $5,000–$10,000+ range are typical for first programmes.
If you are testing a small capsule range, we recommend grouping 3–5 styles in a single order to make the economics work effectively.
Yes — and we actively encourage it. A trial order at 250–500 pcs per style lets you evaluate product quality, delivery reliability, packing standards and our communication before scaling. Many of our ongoing partnerships started with a single-style trial. After approval, scaling is fast because the machine programs and yarn sourcing are already validated.
Sample cost ranges from $80 to $180 including international shipping, depending on yarn type and construction complexity (e.g., basic pullover vs. multi-colour intarsia with WHOLEGARMENT). This includes one size in the specified yarn and colour.
Lead time from tech pack approval to sample dispatch is 10–14 business days. Courier delivery to Europe, US or Asia typically adds 3–5 days.
Sample fees are deducted from the first bulk order on confirmation of production.

If you have a reference garment you'd like replicated, you can ship it to our Gaziantep facility and we will reverse-engineer it. We respond to all tech pack submissions within 48 hours with a feasibility check and indicative cost.
The first sample is quoted at the advertised price. Counter-samples (revisions after your feedback) are quoted individually and typically cost $40–$100 per revision, depending on the extent of changes. Minor fit corrections (e.g., body length +2cm) are at the lower end; significant construction changes (changing from cable to intarsia) are at the higher end.
In practice, most styles are approved within one or two rounds when a clear tech pack is provided upfront.
Standard bulk lead time is 45–60 days from sample approval and deposit confirmation. This includes yarn sourcing (or calling off from stock), bulk knitting, linking, QC, finishing, packing and loading.
For programmes with pre-approved yarn stocks and established machine programs, this can compress to 35–45 days. Rush orders may be accommodated depending on machine availability — ask us at the time of enquiry.
Kiwi Giyim operates 22 flat-knit machines: 15 Shima Seiki (including multiple WHOLEGARMENT units) and 7 Stoll CMS. Total production capacity is approximately 100,000 pieces per month, or roughly 700,000 pieces per year across all styles and gauges.
Capacity is allocated on a rolling planning cycle. For large programmes (10,000+ pcs per month), we recommend confirming capacity 2–3 months in advance.
Yes — all QC is conducted in-house by our team of 50+. Every bulk garment undergoes visual inspection. Measurements are logged per size and colourway against the approved spec sheet. Any garment outside tolerance is set aside for correction or exclusion before packing.
We provide a QC report (measurement matrix + AQL outcome) with each bulk shipment. Third-party inspection (e.g., Intertek, Bureau Veritas) can be arranged on buyer request at buyer cost.
We export globally via Mersin or İskenderun ports by sea, land freight, or air. Destinations include Europe, the UK, the US, Canada, Asia, Australia, and beyond. Transit times depend on the destination country and chosen mode of transport — contact us for a specific quote.
Air freight is available for urgent orders and quoted separately. Our established freight forwarder network covers all major trade lanes. Because we ship worldwide, Turkey's central geography offers a meaningful advantage in transit time versus Far East sourcing for many markets.
Yes. All standard export documentation is included: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and EUR.1 movement certificate (for EU preferential tariff). For market compliance (REACH, CPSIA, GPSR), we produce using compliant certified materials so your product can meet destination-market requirements — supplier certificates and traceability are passed to you on request. We do not issue compliance test reports or market-access certificates ourselves.
We work with established freight forwarders and can quote on DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), DAP, FOB or EXW Incoterms depending on buyer preference.
Kiwi Giyim does not hold facility-level certifications — we source certified yarns from accredited suppliers and produce to your target market's requirements, passing the supplier's certificates and traceability to you.

OEKO-TEX Standard 100, GOTS organic cotton, GRS recycled yarns, and BCI Better Cotton are available as yarn choices on request — certificates from the accredited spinners are included in the shipment documentation and passed to you. For market compliance standards (REACH, CPSIA, GPSR), we use compliant certified materials; supplier traceability documentation is available on request. We do not issue compliance test reports or market-access certificates ourselves.
Yes. The EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), mandatory since December 2024, requires traceability, technical documentation, and an EU responsible person for most consumer products. We produce using compliant certified materials so your product can meet GPSR requirements, and we maintain yarn test reports and production records available on request to support your EU responsible person obligation. The compliance responsibility sits with you as the importer or EU brand — we provide the material traceability and supplier documentation to make that straightforward.
OEM / Contract Manufacturing: You provide the design, tech pack and spec; we manufacture to your exact requirements. We are a pure production partner — we do not sell our own collections or designs. Your brand label, care label, hangtag and packing are all applied per your spec.
Private Label: Full white-label production — your brand identity applied at every point from label to carton.
Yes — we operate multiple Shima Seiki WHOLEGARMENT machines. WHOLEGARMENT technology knits the entire garment as a single three-dimensional piece with no seams, no linking and near-zero waste. It is available across gauge ranges suitable for this technique and is compatible with OEM and private label production. Mention WHOLEGARMENT in your product enquiry and we will confirm machine availability and indicative pricing.
Yes. Flat-knit (sweaters, cardigans, dresses, WHOLEGARMENT) is made in our own factory in Gaziantep. Jersey and circular-knit items — t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, polos — as well as loungewear and knit accessories are produced through our vetted knit partner network, so you get your full knit programme from one contact.
We are knit-focused and do not produce woven garments (shirts, trousers, denim). This single-category focus means deeper machine investment, stronger technical knowledge, and better output quality across everything we touch — whether in-house or through the partner network.
Yes. Flat-knit is inherently one of the most sustainable garment manufacturing methods — near zero-waste knit-to-shape means minimal offcut waste by default. On top of that, we source certified yarns from accredited suppliers for:
We can also provide supply chain traceability documentation. See our Sustainability page for the full picture.
We operate 22 dedicated flat-knit machines:
Gauge range: 3GG (coarse/chunky) through 14GG (fine/lightweight). Most commercial knitwear sits in the 5GG–12GG range. We can advise on the most appropriate gauge for your yarn choice and target drape.
We knit a wide range of natural, synthetic and blended yarns:
We can source yarn on your behalf from our established spinner network or accept buyer-supplied yarn. Yarn supply lead time is typically included within the bulk production timeline.
