Private label knitwear means one thing: your design, your label, produced to your specification — not a stock design with your logo attached. We manufacture jumpers, cardigans, dresses and knitwear accessories entirely to your tech pack: your yarns, your stitch, your measurements, your label. The goods enter the UK duty-free under the UK–Türkiye FTA with a EUR.1 certificate of origin. MOQ is 250 pieces per colour, per size.

What Private Label Actually Means

There are two different manufacturing relationships in knitwear that are sometimes conflated:

Private Label (OEM)

What we do

You provide the design — sketch, tech pack or reference garment. We manufacture to your specification: your yarn choice, your gauge, your construction, your measurements, your label instructions. The design is yours; we are purely the manufacturer. All intellectual property remains with you, protected under NDA.

White Label

What we don't do

White label means a factory has a standard stock design that multiple brands can order with their own label attached. We do not operate this way. Every programme we run is developed from your brief — there is no catalogue of standard designs available to multiple customers.

From Brief to British Doorstep

Week 1

Tech pack review & indicative pricing

Send your tech pack, sketch or reference garment. We confirm which constructions are achievable on our machines, recommend yarn options if needed, and send indicative FOB pricing within 48 hours. No commitment at this stage.

Weeks 2–5

Sample development

First samples produced in 10–14 days. You review and return feedback — fit, colour, stitch, gauge. We iterate until the sample is approved. Most programmes reach salesman sample in 2–3 rounds. Sample cost: $80–180 per style including shipping to a UK address.

Weeks 6–12

Bulk production

Sample approved. Bulk order placed with 30% deposit. Production runs 45–60 days. A TOP sample (one piece from the production run) ships to you at approximately day 40 — your final quality approval before the full order leaves the factory.

Week 13–14

Shipping to UK

Goods shipped from Mersin. Ocean transit to Felixstowe: ~10–14 days. We supply the EUR.1 origin certificate with the shipment documents. Your freight broker presents the EUR.1 at UK customs — goods clear at 0% duty under the UK–Türkiye FTA. Remaining balance payable against bill of lading.

What We Can Make for UK Private Label

Jumpers & pullovers

Crew-neck, V-neck, roll-neck, polo-neck and boat-neck constructions across gauges 3gg to 14gg. Fibres: acrylic blend, lambswool, merino, cashmere-blend, cotton, alpaca, recycled. UK women's and men's sizing; plus-size to 24 available on request.

Cardigans

Open-front, button-front and zip-through cardigans. Oversized, boxy and fitted cuts. Cable, intarsia and plain knit options. All gauges 3–14gg.

Knitted dresses & co-ords

Midi and maxi lengths. Rib-knit, textured and fine-gauge options. Co-ordinated sets (jumper + skirt, cardigan + shorts) at matching gauge and fibre.

WHOLEGARMENT seamless

One-piece seamless construction on Shima Seiki — no side seams, minimal finishing. Suitable for fine-gauge luxury, performance base layers and contemporary knitwear where seamless construction is a key product quality signal.

UK-Specific Label & Compliance Requirements

UK textile labelling law requires specific information on every garment — and private label knitwear entering the UK under your brand is your compliance responsibility. We supply the underlying data; you ensure the label is correctly formatted and applied.

Fibre content

Required by UK Textile Products Regulations

The full fibre composition must be stated by percentage and fibre name (e.g. "55% Merino Wool, 45% Cashmere"). We provide this from yarn supplier specifications with each order.

Care instructions

ISO 3758 symbols

Standard care symbols to ISO 3758. We recommend appropriate care instructions based on the fibre and construction; the label-maker formats them to your brand label design.

Country of origin

"Made in Turkey"

Required on garments sold in the UK. For goods qualifying under the UK–Türkiye FTA, country of origin is Turkey — supported by the EUR.1 certificate.

UK REACH

Chemical compliance

We source yarns from OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified suppliers as standard. OEKO-TEX certification is evidence of restricted substance compliance for UK REACH purposes — available on request for any buyer or compliance audit.
