There is no Türkiye–Tanzania FTA, so Turkish knitwear pays the full EAC Common External Tariff (finished apparel at 25%, plus 18% VAT). China has no FTA with Tanzania either — so on customs it is parity, with no edge over China. We compete on quality, not price. Ocean freight Mersin → Dar es Salaam (via Suez / Red Sea / Indian Ocean) in ~20–28 days — FOB or DDP, contracts usually in USD given Tanzanian Shilling volatility. Confirm the HS-61 line and duty with a licensed Tanzanian clearing agent.

Tanzania has a genuine cotton and textile heritage — from the Western and Eastern Cotton Growing Areas to a domestic ginning and textile value chain. We are not here to compete with that; we are here to complement it. We produce premium flat-knit sweaters and cardigans under your label for the lines local production doesn't cover — WHOLEGARMENT, fine-gauge and fashion knit — and as a China+1 option that diversifies your supply base. With membership of both the EAC and SADC, a Dar es Salaam programme can also reach onward into Southern Africa. This is an honest hard-market partnership: tough on logistics and duty, but built on quality and reliability.
