Women's Medium maps to US 8–10, UK 12–14, EU 40–42 and a 92–96 cm chest; each band steps up from there. Men's tops use S–2XL letters in the US and UK, with EU roughly the chest in centimetres divided by two (a 96–100 cm chest ≈ EU 48–50). Inches are pure arithmetic: centimetres ÷ 2.54.
Fit block, vanity sizing and how much a knit stretches all shift the label — the same size can drift by about one full size between brands. Trust the chest measurement first. For a production spec, a measurement in centimetres beats any letter.
