Turkey's position — bridging Europe, the Middle East and beyond — gives it flexible export logistics. From Gaziantep, goods move by land into Europe and by sea or air to the rest of the world.
The shipping modes
- Truck — the fast lane into Europe. Indicatively a handful of days to major EU hubs (e.g. Milan, Hamburg, Rotterdam) — far quicker than ocean from Asia.
- Ocean — for the US and global destinations, via the Mediterranean ports of Mersin and İskenderun. Indicative transit to the US East Coast is around two weeks.
- Air — for urgent or high-value goods where speed beats cost.

The duty advantage for the EU
