Knitwear Trims, Labels & Packaging
Trims and packaging are where a generic garment becomes your product. They're also where compliance and lead time hide — so plan them, don't leave them to the end.
The knit is the product, but trims, labels and packaging are what make it yours and ready to sell. This is the heart of private label — and it deserves the same attention as the garment.
Trims
Buttons, zips, drawcords, toggles. They affect look, function and cost, and some carry their own compliance (e.g. nickel release on metal trims touching skin). Specify material and finish, and remember trims have their own sourcing lead time.
Labels
- Woven brand label — your identity; placement matters.
- Care label — washing guidance in the right standard for your market (see care & fibre content).
- Size & composition labels — required, and must be accurate.
- Identifiers — batch/style codes supporting traceability.
Packaging
How each piece is folded, tissue-wrapped or polybagged, tagged and cartoned — for protection in transit and presentation at unboxing. Define hang tags, polybag spec (recycled options exist) and carton/labelling requirements up front.
Plan trims and labels early. They have their own lead times and compliance, and leaving them late is a classic cause of last-minute delays. Put them in your tech pack from the start.
We finish it your way
We apply your trims, labels and packaging in-house so the garment ships retail-ready under your brand. Tell us your label and packaging spec — or ask for guidance — and we'll build it in. Request a quote.
