Once you approve a pre-production sample, you cross from development into manufacturing. Understanding what happens next helps you scale smoothly and protect the quality you signed off.
From approval to bulk
The approved PP sample becomes the reference for the whole run. Bulk production follows in 45–60 days, and a TOP sample — pulled from the real bulk — is checked against your approved PP to confirm the run matches. That's your guarantee bulk equals sample.
What changes at scale
- Unit cost drops. Fixed set-up spreads over more pieces — the link between order size and unit price.
- Consistency becomes the focus. Same yarn, same machine settings, same QC across every batch.
- Capacity planning matters. Larger and repeat orders need slots booked ahead, especially in peak seasons.
Scaling your winners
The smart growth pattern: launch a small range, see what sells, then reorder the winners. Reorders of an approved style skip most of sampling and move fast. Keep the spec, yarn and colour identical so reorders match the originals your customers already bought.
Watch the yarn lot. Across large or repeat runs, dye-lot consistency matters — flag it up front so colour stays true between batches. A good manufacturer manages this for you.
